Brand new andCO2-neutral- this is the first of a total of 19 new e-buses that we are expecting this year. This will increase our number of e-buses from 26 to 45 vehicles, which corresponds to around a third of the entire fleet. Of course, this will also have a significant effect onCO2 emissions, because for every kilometer we drive with an e-bus instead of a diesel bus, emissions will be reduced by around one kilogram ofCO2. We have big plans: By 2035, we want to operate our bus services ona CO2-neutral basis, and this year we are taking a big step towards achieving this goal.
The new vehicles not only have climate-friendly drive technology, but also a new interior design. Part of the innovation are modern seat covers made from e-leather - an innovative material made from recycled leather scraps. This sustainable product is easy to care for, durable and is already being used successfully in other means of transport.
