New milestone towards CO₂-neutral regular service operation
Quiet, efficient, emission-free: 9 more electric articulated buses are in service. Another milestone for sustainable mobility in Zug.
This is what we stand for
The ZVB's core product is public transport - an inherently ecological product. However, our commitment to the environment goes further and is deeply rooted at ZVB. We have been practicing active environmental management for around 20 years and have been ISO 14001-certified since 2007. We strive for annual environmental targets and recycle consciously. We only use electricity from renewable sources and use resources sparingly. The biggest lever, however, is the constant replacement of our diesel bus fleet with modern e-buses. We are doing this gradually and benefiting from technological developments.

Sustainable all round
Our e-fleet is growing and growing, but never as fast as this year. We are increasing our e-fleet from 26 to 45 vehicles. However, it is not only the drive system that is climate-friendly, but also the seats, which are now covered with an innovative material made from recycled leather scraps.

Making electricity visible
We all take electricity for granted. It is in every lamp, every computer and every vehicle. But it is rarely visible. This is exactly where the ZVB's apprentice project comes in. Under the title "Making electricity visible", the apprentices have launched a project that makes energy tangible.

From MS to E-MS Ägerisee
After eight months of intensive conversion work, a new era of navigation on Lake Aegeri begins on May 11, 2025 with the start of the cruise season. The motor vessel Ägerisee will set sail as an electric course ship for the first time.

Rethinking corporate mobility
Out of the comfort zone and into the test phase: we are trying out new ways of commuting. Bicycles, e-scooters and e-bikes are available to our employees for this purpose. Because if you take the first bus, you can't take public transport.
