Quiet and emission-free
During the conversion work, the heart of the ship, the drive technology, was completely electrified and the diesel engine was replaced by 28 powerful battery modules weighing over 2.2 tons and with a total output of 264 kWh. These are charged overnight and between cruises at the charging station in Oberägeri. The electric motor is powered by green electricity from hydropower supplied by WWZ. This not only guarantees an emission-free journey, but also an environmentally friendly source of energy. Around 38,000 kilograms of CO2 are saved each year.
On board the E-MS Ägerisee, guests can expect a refreshed interior. This is kept in calm colors, which are harmoniously derived from the idyllic nature around Lake Aegeri. Thanks to a new partnership with Pasta Monica from ConSol, the gastronomic offering has been expanded. Guests can enjoy freshly and locally prepared organic dry pasta on board every day, which is offered as seasonally changing menu creations. Ägerisee Schifffahrt is very pleased about this partnership, which further underlines its sustainable orientation.
